Gretel Pollock

Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW #119515)

Therapist in Sacramento, CA

Online and In-person Services Available

My Approach:

My approach toward therapy is open-ended and collaborative. As a clinical social worker with a background in human development, attachment and polyvagal theory are at the heart of my practice. I'm attuned to the ways in which our experiences shape our sense of self, our behaviors, and our relationships. I orient myself psychodynamically, meaning that therapy with me is fundamentally dyadic: an opportunity to find healing through relationship with an empathic other. From there, I incorporate elements of internal family systems, existential therapy, and somatic experiencing. Through this work, my hope is to help clients build emotional intelligence, make meaning of their identity and experiences, facilitate mind-body connection, and improve their relationships. I’m so excited to meet you and work with you!
